‘My Hand’, the second single off our new album 2021: A LAZY ODYSSEY (released 17 Nov 2021).
My Hand was inspired by popular Netflix series Peaky Blinders, the video gives a nod to the series while at the same time being as kiwi as they come, shot on location in our home town Tairāwhiti-Gisborne.
'2021: A LAZY ODYSSEY' (our third album) was recorded at Roundhead Studios (Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand), with renowned producer Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers, Devilskin, The Feelers, Opshop, Ekko Park, Troy Kingi).
Our music harks back to the classic rock of the 70s, enhanced with a healthy dose of funk, rocking rhythms and impressive guitar.
The name Lazy Fifty comes from the saying of an old friend. When he asked you for a ‘lazy twenty’ (dollars), you knew you’d never see the money again. That was a long time ago and our friend is no longer with us. In memory of him, and allowing for inflation, we are now ‘Lazy Fifty’.
Lazy Fifty are Adrian Athy vocals, guitar; Ryan Raggett bass; Ali Sochacki drums, their home town is Tairāwhiti-Gisborne, Aotearoa New Zealand.
Special thanks to Greg Haver guest drummer and percussion on the album 2021: A LAZY ODYSSEY
